LAWRENCE EDWARD GREENE

<p>LAWRENCE EDWARD GREENE, of Beaver Dams, NY, passed away at home on 7/24/22. Larry was a singular, exceptional, and very precious man. He loved his CREATOR and his family with all his heart. Larry was born on Feb. 22nd, 1937. He was the son of Edward (&ldquo;Ned&rdquo;) and Esther Greene, and the oldest of seven children. He is survived by his sister, Linda; and brothers, Mel (Mary), Steve (Wanda), and Randy (Liz). He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond and Dennis; by his son, Chris; and his son-in-law, Ken. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces; namely Matt, who devotes himself to family gatherings and the family history. His surviving children are daughters, Denice, Lisa (Leal), and Lori (Don). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Candice, Kristina, Ross, Addison, Mia, Josh, Jesse, Taylor, and Jessica; and great-grandchildren, Casey, Isaiah, Journey, River, Victoria, Olivia, Max and Nicholas. Lastly, he is survived by his wife and soulmate, Miriam (Theresa) Greene. Larry and his wife, Miriam, were a part of the Elmira Jewish Community and members of Congregation Kol Ami. He was also a Vietnam veteran and had many years of military service. He was deeply loved by his family and will be profoundly missed by them and by his fellow veterans and friends. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 28th AT 12PM IN THE FRANKLIN STREET CEMETERY ELMIRA, NY; RABBI DR. OREN Z. STEINITZ OFFICIATING.
