Todd Andrew Roy Obituary

Todd Andrew Roy was born August 22, 1967 to Milton Lee Roy and Linda D. (Wilburn) Roy in Martinsburg, WV and gave up his last breath in this life on July 25, 2022. From the beginning of his life, Todd was a medical marvel having his name published in the textbooks of Johns Hopkins Teaching Hospital in Baltimore, MD., Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, FL, and the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. Throughout his life he defied death many times and never allowed his health to stop him from living life to the fullest. Todd was loved by everyone he met, and the party never began until Todd entered the room where his sense of humor and dry wit were ever present. Todd’s love of motorcycles was a driving factor in his life and he would ride in his sleeveless t-shirt (every t-shirt) with his braided ponytail catching the wind as he rode.

Preceding him in death is his father Milton Roy, his wife Carol (Rice) Roy and his sister Ashleigh Gass.

Survivors include his son Caleb Andrew Roy, grandson C.J. Roy of Martinsburg, WV, daughter Andee Dawn Roy and her partner of many years Jon Dixon and their children, his grandson Brayden Dixon and granddaughter Jazlyn Dixon as well as Andee’s mother and Todd’s former wife and best friend Kelly Gayhart Roy all of Inwood, WV. Todd was further survived by his longtime partner Ronda Combs and their son Tyler Haze Roy of their home of Gerrardstown, WV. He is also survived by his mother Linda Gass and stepfather Kelly Gass of West Fork AR, three brothers, Jeremiah (Ciara) Gass, Israel Gass, Zackary (Alysia) Gass all of West Fork, AR and four sisters. Chanon (Ron) Defelice, of Hagerstown MD, Lesa Jennings, Cortney Atkinson of Fayetteville, AR, and Brittney (Derek) Rush of Bella Vista, AR. In addition, Todd is survived by 8 nephews, 11 nieces, and his partner Ronda’s children, Jessica Alegre, Josiah Alegre, and Ashley Smrcina as well as many many wonderful friends including his best friend Robert Snyder.

A public viewing is being held on Tuesday August 2, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood, WV from 6-8p.m. We welcome any who would like to attend.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date.
