Johnny Dewayne Haggard Obituary

Johnny Dewayne Haggard

1967 - 2022

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Johnny Dewayne Haggard was born on October 12, 1967 to his parents Archie Henry Haggard and Juanita Jean Beayrd-Haggard in Fort Worth, Texas.  Johnny Haggard passed from this life to return to his Eternal Father on July 25, 2022 due to small-cell carcinoma.

Johnny worked for twenty-five years as a machinist in various fields.  Johnny was a patriotic American who served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea.  Johnny was an honest man who admired loyalty. He loved riding around on his Harley Davidson and he belonged to the motorcycle club “Chula Chasers”. Johnny enjoyed fishing and going out to shoot his guns. Johnny lived life like no tomorrow and had a sensitive heart of gold. A tough biker guy on the outside, yet he was a big teddy bear on the inside.  Johnny touched the soul of many and will be missed dearly every single day, but his family has great peace knowing he is now with his beloved wife Josephine who passed away August 28, 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.

Johnny leaves behind his daughter, Emerson Haggard, she was his muse for all. He loved being a father more than anything.  Johnny is also survived by his sister, Donna Haggard-Taylor and her husband, Mark; his niece, Kimberly O’Dell and her husband, Jason along with their children, Caylynne, Landon, and Lacey; his niece, Jennifer Baker and her husband, Terry and their son Logan; his mother-in-law, Jackie Kardaras-Jeffcoat; his bonus sister, Justine Herrera, along with many other extended family members and countless friends that he made over a lifetime.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Summers-Haggard, his bonus dad, Dale Summers, and his father, Archie Haggard.

While the family is greatly saddened by the illness and passing of Johnny, they wish for everyone that knew and loved Johnny to come and celebrate his life (a life very well lived} on Friday, July 29th at 2:00 PM at the Azleland Funeral Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery.
