<p>Demitra Bower, 41, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Monday July 25, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.</p> <p>A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-5:00pm, Saturday August 13, 2022 at the Edgington Fire Station, and a Memorial service will be held at a later date in Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for a education fund for her children. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family.</p> <p>Demitra was born on November 22, 1980 in Rock Island, the daughter of Dona Kenney, Gary Bower and Randy Bivens. She was a graduate of Ottawa High School.</p> <p>She was the senior mortgage specialist at Ameriquest Mortgage. She had also worked at 2 Rivers Mortgage Company, Silver Mortgage Company, as a Branch Manager at Citi Financial, Silver Leaf Resorts and was the owner and operator of Fashionista’s Flair.</p> <p>Demitra was a board member of the Milton Pope Community Club, where she was active in fundraising and planning events. She also helped run the concessions stand with parents and athletes during games. Demitra was a avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and had been a member of the Milan American Legion Auxiliary Unit 569.</p> <p>Survivors include her children, Landon Hebel, Lylah Hebel, Lincoln Hebel; parents, Dona Kenney, Gary Bower and Randy Bivens; brother, Tyler (Marlena) Bivens; step siblings, Rhonda, Tina, Jenney, Anita and Paul; maternal grandmothers, Dorothy Barber and Maria Kenney; god parents, Scott and Rita Maynard; special friend and soul mate, Rich Sibert; and a large extended family.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Jean Bower; maternal grandparents, Lloyd Kenney and Harold Barber and paternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Bivens and step mother, Barb Ditto.</p>November 22, 1980 - July 25, 202211/22/198007/25/2022
