<p class="MsoNormal">Carol was born and raised in Trenton and would spend her summers in Forked River before moving to Forked River permanently in 1953. Spending her summers here as a kid is where she met and fell in love with her husband Bob. Carol worked in a local community bank, she was a crossing guard for Lacey Township, and she worked for the Lacey Township Building Department where she retired in 1998.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Carol was involved in her community where she was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Forked River Fire Department, and the Forked River Historical Society. She loved to swim and was part of the Ocean County YMCA competition swim team. She went to several Senior Olympics in multiple states on the east coast where she &ldquo;kicked butt&rdquo; breaking and setting records and won multiple medals. She also loved to paint, crochet, cook and to spend time gardening.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Carol was predeceased by her husband Bob, parents Stephen and Rose Sabo, her brothers Edward, Ronald &amp; James. She is survived by her four children Tina Lorton and husband Kurt, Marc and wife Carla, Scott and wife Patty, and Tim and wife Colleen. She loved and adored all of her 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a new sweet great granddaughter to be born in December.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Carol will be missed for her big hugs, bright smile, and most of all her unconditional love to her family!</p> <p class="MsoNormal">In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite organization.<br /><br />Arrangements and private cremation are under the direction of Riggs Funeral Home, Forked River. A Graveside Service will be held on August 13, 2022 at 9:00 am at Good Luck Cemetery, Lanoka Harbor.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Obituary
