It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lisa K. (Schreckengost) Evans on July 25, 2022. She was a graduate of Valley Sr. High School and Westmoreland Community College with an associate in Food Management. Lisa and her mother owned and operated Lite Bite Café for many years. She loved to bake, especially cheesecake and was affectionately called Cheesecake Lisa. Lisa also worked at the VFW Post 92, where she had many friends. Most recently she worked for Fine Wine and Good Spirits. She was kind, gentle, strong and loving and was a very loving wife, mother, and daughter. Lisa will be loved and missed by her husband of 27 years, Douglas D. Evans; 2 daughters, Kelsey N. and Abbey L. Evans; parents, Enos D. and Kay L. Richardson Schreckengost; brothers, Shawn (Dawn) and Colby (Vicki) Schreckengost; brother and sister in laws, Deborah D. (Randy) Ridenour, Donald D. (Faith) Evans, Denise D. Evans, Daniel D. (Judy) Evans, and Donna D. (David) Hare; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her pet puggle, Trooper. Family and friends will be received from 10 to 12 Noon on Thursday, July 28, 2022, in the Joseph J. Cardaro Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon immediately following the visitation in the funeral home with her sister, Denise Evans officiating. Burial will be private.
