Obituary

Harold "Greasy" Woods, Jr., 59, was born December 22, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harold Woods, Sr. and Cora M. Woods . He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Woods and a sister, Diane Woods. Harold attended Central High School. He worked as a firefighter, at Swope Parkway Health Center and in the construction field. Harold accepted Christ and was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Leonard P. Butler, Jr. Harold was a loving man with a bright personality. His laughter, stories and dance moves left an everlasting impression on everyone who he came in contact with. He lived by the quote, "Never let em' see you sweat", in his own words. No matter the good days or bad days, Harold Woods Jr. kept a smile on his face that will truly be missed. Harold departed this life on November 6, 2016 at his childhood home at 37th and College. He leaves to cherish his memory: his only son, Raymond Walker; twin daughters of Atlanta, GA; brother, Bobby Woods; nephew, Mark Woods; nieces, Nedra and Nicole; special friends, Greta Robinson and Margaret Davidson; a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name. Funeral services will be Friday, November 18, 11:00 a.m. at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. Interment pending. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
