Corey Wade Dempsey Obituary

Corey Dempsey was called home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 7, 2017 following injuries sustained in a tragic accident while performing his duties as a CDL Truck Driving Contractor. He was 27 years old. Corey was born in Macon, Georgia on November 9, 1989. He loved being active with Little League as a young boy and attended Warner Robins High School. Corey was a very gifted athlete excelling in basketball, football, and baseball. He was an avid University of Alabama fan (ROLL TIDE ROLL!!). Corey was known as a “Gentle Giant”…… a one of a kind gentle soul and this world is a better place for him having been here. He dearly loved his family and he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Corey leaves his memory behind with the love of his life, Melissa Anderson of Dublin; parents, Rhonda and Andrew Lindsey of Milledgeville, and Douglas and Debbie Dempsey of Jefferson; siblings, Natalie Dempsey Goddard and Stacey Dempsey, both of Warner Robins, Tanith Lindsey of Dublin, and Heather Lindsey of Greenville, South Carolina; and grandmothers, Gladys M. Dempsey and Stella Schofeld Broom, both of Warner Robins. A Celebration of Corey’s Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18th at the Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Corey’s loving family Melissa Anderson, and her sons Kaiden and Noah. McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Corey’s arrangements.
