Porter Stevens, 78, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away July 23, 2022, at his residence in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born on November 19, 1943, in Kennett, Missouri, and was the son of Verni and Eula (Allmond) Stevens. Porter was united in marriage to Karen Marie Bradshaw on November 23, 1963, and to this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Verni Stevens; mother, Eula Stevens; three brothers, Sigaford Stevens, Ronnie Stevens, Rex Stevens; and his angel babies. Porter was employed at Southern Towing as a First Mate and Tankerman. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great-grandkids. He also enjoyed music, telling stories, Harley motorcycles, and classic cars. Porter is survived by his wife, Karen Marie Stevens; three daughters, Laura (Mark) Howell of Piggott, Tina (Stephen) Nelson of Springdale, Arkansas, and Patty (Randy) Covert of Piggott, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Gary Boozer of Piggott, Arkansas, Stephanie (Jesus) Mendoza of Springdale, Joshua (Brittany) Pitts of Piggott, Arkansas, Jacob (Dallas) Nelson of Springdale, Arkansas, Zachary Howell of Piggott, Arkansas, Taylor (Austin) Engle of Piggott, Arkansas, and Autumn Covert of Piggott, Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Averie Boozer, Allie Mendoza, Kyle Burns, Carter Nelson, Sophia Mendoza, Jada Pitts, Emmie Jo Engle, and Sadi Nelson; brother, Novis (Carol) Stevens of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Margie (Harold) Amberger of Perryville, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Gary Boozer officiating and Jacob Nelson escorting his grandpaw to his final resting place on his Harley motorcycle.
