"Thunderbird Woman"

With sadness we announce that Beverly Merrick began her journey to the spirit world on July 13, 2022 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 53 years.

Left to mourn Beverly’s passing are her children Erin, Husna, Aris, Derek and Nicholas, grandchildren Kiera, Alita, Nevah, Isiah, Alysse, Zackary, Aisha and Baby, brothers and sisters Maxine, Jimmy, Helen, Brian, Hazel, Keith, Shelley and Lindsay uncles Keith and Ralph, Aunties Doris, Betty, Janet, Bonnie, Winona, Shirlee, Memory, and Joyce and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Max Merrick and Leona Walker, and brothers Dwayne and Eric Travis.

Beverly grew up in Winnipeg, and spent most of her life there. She received her bachelor of arts, and was employed at the Royal Bank on William Street for many years.

Beverly was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Wake will be held at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Monday, July 25, 2022 beginning at 4:00 pm. Feast and Ceremony will take place at noon on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Burial to follow at Merrick Cemetery.
