<p>Marilyn Joanne Lane (Lymburner)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Peacefully, on Saturday, July 23,2022 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Marilyn Lane, aged 80 years of Selkirk, MB passed away.&nbsp;</p> <p>Predeceased by her husband Gary in 2013, and son-in-law Joe Laughlin in 2021, Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey &amp; Deann, daughter Angela, grandchildren Garrett &amp; Sarah, Gregory &amp; Michelle, Michael, and great granddaughter Hannah as well as numerous extended family and close friends.</p> <p>Marilyn was born December 10,1941 on the farm near Wellandport, Ontario to Orville and Gladys Lymburner.&nbsp; She was the oldest of her siblings: brother Wayne, sisters Louise (deceased 1996), Ann, Charlene, Bonnie, Brenda and Marsha.</p> <p>Marilyn and Gary were married April 21,1962 and lived in Smithville, Ontario and first moved to Selkirk, Manitoba in 1972, returned to Ontario for a brief period and then came back to Selkirk in 1975 where they made a permanent home.</p> <p>Throughout Marilyn&rsquo;s long career with the Royal Bank, she gained many friends and acquaintances. Her passion for sport was shared by her coaching girls&rsquo; baseball and volunteering on the Selkirk figure skating board. She will miss her gardening, birdwatching and many hours playing cribbage.</p> <p>Family and close contact with family were a lifeblood for Marilyn.&nbsp; She was always interested in how you were and knowing what you were doing.&nbsp; She cherished her visits to connect with family and friends in Ontario, Brandon and Cape Breton Island. She will be missed by so many people who hold fond memories of time spent with her.</p> <p>The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses and health care staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre and IERHA Home Care for their compassion and care they provided to Mom.&nbsp;</p> <p>In accordance with Marilyn&rsquo;s wishes, cremation has taken place with Celebration of Life details pending.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Selkirk Regional Health Centre through the Selkirk and District Community Foundation or a charity of your choice.</p>
