Alan “Al” Blaney, 67, a devoted husband, father and “Grampy” passed away on July 20, 2022, at his home in Danville, NH. He was born on April 9, 1955, in Saugus, MA, the son of the late Alvin R. and Evelyn May (Dunham) Blaney. A longtime resident of Danville, NH, Al graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in Plaistow, NH. Al’s longtime love of cars and hot rods, coupled with his attention to detail, his knowledge and desire for the job to be done at a high standard was the foundation of a 40+ years successful auto repair and auto body business located in Danville, NH. Al was eternally grateful for his faithful customers, who trusted his honesty, his judgement and knew that their cars were in good hands, that trust often resulted in lifelong friendships which Al greatly valued. His children grew up in his shop learning many of life’s lessons, work ethics and skills from their Dad as he worked. Al found great joy in the simple things in life, such as enjoying a cup of coffee or taking one of his old cars or hot rods “around the block” as he would say, with his trusty sidekick, Bella, or as Al would call her ‘Bellaroni’, riding in the passenger seat. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna Marie (Paolucci) Blaney of Danville, NH; his children, Russell Blaney of Chichester, NH; Amanda Blaney of East Hampstead, NH; William Blaney of Danville, NH; Michael Blaney of Safety Harbor, FL; his stepson, Christopher Paolucci of Haverhill, MA and his grandchildren, Hannah Boerner of Raymond, NH; Henry Blaney, John Blaney and Ian Blaney of Chichester, NH; Jackson Blaney, or as Al would call him ‘My Little Buddy’, Logan Blaney and Carson Blaney of Danville, NH, and Amber Paolucci of Haverhill, MA. Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant Street, Epping, NH, is assisting the family.
