Michael Lee Wheeler Obituary
Michael Lee Wheeler, 49, of Louisburg passed away on July 20, 2022. Michael was born on October 5, 1972 the son of Gwendolyn Finch Wheeler and the late Michael Loring “Mitchell” Wheeler. In addition to his father, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Michael Roy Varner.
In addition to his mother, Gwendolyn, Michael is survived by his wife, Joanne Bove Wheeler; his son, Michael Donovan Wheeler; his sister, Kim Kidd; and his brother, Larry Varner.
Michael served his country for 20 years in the US Navy as a F14 Tomcat technician and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He loved his family and loved working on cars with his son.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Maple Springs Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. David Grindstaff officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family asks that if you have a picture of Michael that you bring it to the service to display.
