<p>Dewayne Mullins, 59, of Martinsville, passed away on July 17, 2022, at his residence.</p> <p>Dewayne was born December 3, 1962, in Seymour.&nbsp;He was the son of the late Reverend Jiles Ray Mullins and Thelma Mullins.</p> <p>Dewayne was a 1981 graduate of Jennings County High School.</p> <p>Dewayne served his country in the United States Army. During this service he was awarded a good conduct medal, army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon, rifle marksman award and a meritorious achievement award.</p> <p>Dewayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and target practice. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter,&nbsp;Emalee, riding the tractor, playing hide and seek, and having pillow fights.</p> <p>Dewayne worked as a tool and die technician for thirty plus years. &nbsp;</p> <p>Dewayne is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dawn Kinley Mullins;&nbsp;his daughter, Carlee Swafford of Gosport; his five-year-old granddaughter, Emalee Dawn Blevins; brother, Jiles E. (Sue) Mullins of North Vernon; sister, Ramona (John) Bosnyak of Columbus; brother in-law, Bill Mosley of North Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. &nbsp;</p> <p>Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Katherine L. Mullins, and Roberta Mosley.</p> <p>Dewayne will be dearly missed by his family and friends.</p> <p>A funeral service for Dewayne will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp &amp; Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Tim Poer officiating and Military Honors provided by the members of Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery.</p> <p>Memorials may be made in honor of Dewayne through the funeral home for help with expenses.</p>

Dewayne Mullins, 59, of Martinsville, passed away on July 17, 2022, at his residence.

Dewayne was born December 3, 1962, in Seymour. He was the son of the late Reverend Jiles Ray Mullins and Thelma Mullins.

Dewayne was a 1981 graduate of Jennings County High School.
