<p>Donald Edward Stark Sr., 85, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:52 a.m. &nbsp;on Sunday, July&nbsp;17, 2022, at his residence. &nbsp;</p> <p>Born November 25, 1936, in Jennings County, he was the son of Clarence E. and Faye (Sammon) Stark. He married Betty June Crouch on November 18, 1956, in North Vernon; she preceded him in death on November 17, 2008.</p> <p>Donald was a 1957 graduate of Vernon High School and served in the National Guard from 1958 until 1960. He worked as a truck driver for Rumpke for eight years before retiring in 1999; he had previously worked as a foreman with Crosley State Fish and Wildlife for 19 years and housekeeper at Jenn-Acres for 5 years. He was a member of River of Life Church in North Vernon. Don enjoyed hunting and fishing.</p> <p>Survivors include his son, Donald Edward Stark Jr. of North Vernon; his daughters, Gladys &ldquo;Faye&rdquo; Moody of North Vernon, and Jeanie Lynn (Mark) Bailey of Zenas; sister, Judy Deppe of Seymour; and grandchildren, Matthew Bailey of Zenas, Dawn (Ed) Spaulding, Joshua (Travis) Woods, Caleb (Audrey) Woods, Alice Woods and Jamie Viers, all of North Vernon.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Aaron Lee Stark; and sister Freda Stark.</p>

Donald Edward Stark Sr., 85, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:52 a.m.  on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at his residence.  

Born November 25, 1936, in Jennings County, he was the son of Clarence E. and Faye (Sammon) Stark. He married Betty June Crouch on November 18, 1956, in North Vernon; she preceded him in death on November 17, 2008.
