Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Travis Peterson on July 12, 2022, at his home in Denare Beach, SK at the age of 58 years.

Travis was born in Dauphin, MB on October 24, 1963, to parents Deward & Matilda Peterson.

Travis received his education in Ethelbert and Dauphin, MB.  In his younger years he worked for the Podolsky Honey Farms.  Later he worked with the CNR then moved on to the Flin Flon mine where he remained until he retired.  In his pass time he taught himself to be quite the mechanic, fixing small engines.  Travis also enjoyed the outdoors, ice fishing, ski-dooing and camping.  His furry friends Maggie and Stinky were always by his side.  Travis was very particular with his vehicles, if we could find him, he would be out cleaning his cars.  No matter what the circumstance Travis was always there for his family.

Travis is survived by his son Troy Peterson who was his pride and joy, every milestone he made.  Especially handling and backing up the semi.  He would say he is even better than me.  He was a very proud father to his son, and very proud of Troy.  Travis is also survived by his stepson Jonathan Jackson, Sister Irene Bogoslowski, brothers Richard & Larry Peterson as well as his aunt Alice Hrycay, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Travis was predeceased by his parents Deward & Matilda Peterson, brother Jackie Peterson and brother-in-law Hank Bogoslowski.

A Funeral service was held for Travis on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from the Pathways Funeral Services Tribute Room at 11:00 A.M. Reverend Steve Wilson officiated, and interment followed in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery.

Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Travis may be made to your local SPCA.
