Ronald 'Ronnie' Louis Dean Obituary

Ronnie L. Dean won his long fight with cancer and received his total healing as he went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2015. He will live forever in our hearts. Ronnie was born in Yosemite, grew up in Fresno and surrounding hills. In Fresno he worked as a glazier, and later used his training to start Cheyennes Mobile Glass in Crescent City. Ronnie moved to Crescent City in 2001 to start a new adventure and get married; this is when he discovered the loves of his life: Daphne, his wife, Cheyenne and Dylan, his beloved children and JESUS! After marriage, he was baptized and became an active member of Cornerstone Church and a self proclaimed Jesus Freak. Ronnie is known as a hard worker; he started out working on the docks and then felt called to the open sea. Ronnie began fishing on the Victory and eventually found his home on the Lady Renee where he not only found a trade as a fisherman but as a fisher of men. When docked at visiting ports, you could find him ministering, eating ice cream and doing laundry. Ronnie loved motorcycles and family. He was a member of the 5 Diamonds M/C in Fresno, CA and retired when he moved to Crescent City in pursuit of a greater mission. He began the first chapter of The Sons of God M/C in CA where he boldly ministered the Love and power of the Gospel to outlaw bikers. He served as President. His chapter assisted establishment of other chapters in Redding, Washington and Idaho. He was ordained as a Pastor in 2003 through Isaiah 58 Ministries. He ministered passionately at Our Daily Bread Ministries and served as a founding Board Member. Ronnie is known for being a real man of God who loved and accepted all. Despite how he felt, he always had time to pray for others, and the joy of the Lord followed him wherever he went. He changed the lives of all who took the time to know him. Thank you for teaching us what Love really is. His legacy lives on through his daughter Cheyenne Hobbs, son Dylan Cortese, precious granddaughter Adalie Dean, wife Daphne, faithful mom Joyce Whorton, brothers: George Keith, Glen Dean, Kevin Waldron, sister Pam Owen, and numerous brothers and sisters in the Lord. A funeral will take place at 1:00 pm on Sept. 5 at Cornerstone Church with a reception to follow; please bring your favorite ice cream and memories as we celebrate the life of this amazing man and his greatest victory ride.
