Marjorie Leona (Farnsworth) Edwards, 98, passed away on Thursday May 5, 2022 in Goffstown, NH. Born on October 20, 1923 in Monroe, NH she is the daughter of Frank and Helen (Smith) Farnsworth. Marjorie worked for the New England Telephone Company as a Telephone Operator for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Marjorie was skilled at sewing and many other crafts. She actively participated in the Womens Guild with the First Baptist Church in Wickford for decades enthusiastically working with other members on fundraising projects including working on items to be sold at the Wickford Art Festival. Upon retirement Marjorie volunteered at the Beechwood Senior Center as well as participated in many of the programs offered there such as exercise, quilting, ceramics, art, bingo and helped at the Center’s bazaars. Marjorie quilted the Beechwood House and Wickford Fire Wagon squares in the historical quilt on display at Beechwood. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Henry L Edwards Jr., She is survived by her daughter Gail Haggarty and her husband Frank, daughter Susan Edwards, grandchildren George Haggarty and his wife Chapelle, Laura Gilpatric and her husband Ian, sister Marion (Pete) Arnold as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on August 15th 11AM at the First Baptist Church in Wickford, 44 Main Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
