<p>Ludmila (Lida) Hru&scaron;ka was surrounded by the love of God and her family as she passed away on July 8, 2022.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her beloved husband Captain Francis Hru&scaron;ka, her children Zuzana Hru&scaron;ka, Daniela Davis, spouse Robert Davis, and Martin Hru&scaron;ka, spouse Colleen Boylston Hru&scaron;ka.&nbsp; Lida is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild: &nbsp;Braden Davis, Evan Davis, Kathryn Petersen, Spouse Adam Peterson, Maria Hru&scaron;ka, Colin Davis, Margaret Hru&scaron;ka, Kristina Hru&scaron;ka, and Rikku Petersen, along with many nieces and nephews in her home country of Slovakia.&nbsp; She will also be greatly missed by her friends in Louisiana and across the US.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Born in Kameňany, Slovakia, Lida married her seafarer husband Francis in 1958 and traveled with him and their three children to numerous countries around the world, including a lengthy residence in West Africa. The family moved to the United States in 1977 and settled in Covington, Louisiana. Lida loved people and found great joy in helping others. She especially loved singing and cooking with her friends in local senior centers. She also enjoyed gardening and making pottery. A devout Catholic, Lida was a long-time member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel, Covington, LA.&nbsp;</p> <p>Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass&nbsp;at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church&nbsp;501 Holy Trinity Dr.&nbsp;Covington, LA 70433&nbsp;on Saturday, July 16,&nbsp;2022.&nbsp;Visitation begins at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Ludmila (Lida) Hruška was surrounded by the love of God and her family as she passed away on July 8, 2022.  

She is survived by her beloved husband Captain Francis Hruška, her children Zuzana Hruška, Daniela Davis, spouse Robert Davis, and Martin Hruška, spouse Colleen Boylston Hruška.  Lida is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild:  Braden Davis, Evan Davis, Kathryn Petersen, Spouse Adam Peterson, Maria Hruška, Colin Davis, Margaret Hruška, Kristina Hruška, and Rikku Petersen, along with many nieces and nephews in her home country of Slovakia.  She will also be greatly missed by her friends in Louisiana and across the US.
