Christopher Scott Shore Winston-Salem, North Carolina Obituary

Christopher Scott Shore

On Friday, July 8, 2022, Christopher “Chris” Shore, devoted husband and father of four daughters, passed away at age 47.

Chris was born on April 13, 1975 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was a teacher, a director, an editor, and an accomplished writer. On October 10, 1998, he married his wife, Ginger. Together they raised four daughters: Alex, Sydney, Madison, and Rhianna.

Chris was a confident, passionate, loving person. He was an avid follower of Christ and tried to show that in all that he did. He was known for his love of wrestling, sports, food, storytelling, and especially his family. He and Ginger were a foster family for the Forsyth Humane Society, fostering over 500 dogs in the past 10 years. He was an exceptional teacher and was well loved by many of his students. His favorite students were his daughters, whom he homeschooled. His biggest devotion was to his wife, Ginger. He regularly stated she was the reason he was a good man. Well, her and God. He called her his rock, saying he was strong only because she was. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, love, and faith.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hewey James Parrish; and his father, Sidney Craig Shore. He is survived by his wife, Ginger; his daughters, Alex, Sydney, Madison, and Rhianna; his mother and step-father, Mickey and Bill Schowald’ his brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Alysha Fulton; his niece and nephew, Stella and Patrick; his grandmother, Joetta Parrish; and his great uncles, aunt, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at Pinedale Christian Church on Friday, July 15, 2022, with Pastor Bill McKenzie officiating. There will be a small reception held after the service for visitation and condolences. The family encourages everyone to wear a color other than black to the service. This is a celebration of life, and they wish for attendants to come as they are. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations be made to the Forsyth Humane Society in Chris’ honor.

Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
