Edith Eleanor Langer, 91, of Eau Claire, died July 10, 2022, at Caretel Inns St. Joseph in St. Joseph.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Caldwell Cemetery in Eau Claire. Messages and memories may be shared online at www.bowermanfuneral.com. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and Caring Circle Hospice.
Edith was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Benton Harbor to Adam and Orrabelle (Schmikel) Howard. She married Harry Langer on August 19, 1947, and together they farmed on their dairy farm for 45 years. After retirement, they traveled and spent time with their children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Donna (Robert) Street, Harry (Gloria) Langer, Karen (Greg) Prillwitz, Bobbie (Ed) Sill; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Caroline Baes, Juanita Birdsley, and Jane Miller.
Edith was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Harry, in 2000; grandson, Robert A. Street; great-grandson, Colton Langer; great-granddaughter, BrandiLynn Street; two brothers; and two sisters.
Edith was a giving and loving person—the word “no” was not in her vocabulary.
