Evelyn Lee Bonin, 86, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, peacefully at her home in Tracy.  Evelyn was born on September 14, 1935 in Gravette, Arkansas.  She was raised in Gilroy, CA, and graduated from Gilroy High.  She moved to Tracy when she was 19 where she raised her family.  She was a waitress for over 50 years and worked for many establishments starting at Henry's Donuts, Giant Orange, Walts, Wallys Drive-in, but most know her from the Copper Cat.  She always had a smile on her face. She loved crafting in her spare time and made so many things for her family. She was generous and loving and never spoke bad about anyone. She was the matriarch of the family and will be greatly missed.  

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Wilma Burdick, her husband Paul Joseph Bonin and her daughter Cathy Lee Knox.  She is survived by her children, Susan Feliciano (Rene) of Manteca, Debbie Calli of Stockton, Greg Bonin of Tracy, Sue Costa (Tom) of Lincoln, CA, and Tom Bonin (Donna) of South Carolina.  She is also survived by her brother Tim (Myrna) Burdick of Ft. Apache, Az, and Michael Burdick (Delores) of Morgan Hill, CA. She had ten grandchildren, Joe, Tara, Christopher, Aleena, Jeff, Tammy, Tricia, Troy, Janine and Bobby, and fifteen great-grandchildren.   

Visitation will be held at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Ave., Tracy, CA, on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a Eulogy service starting at 12:00 p.m.  Internment at Tracy Public Cemetery will be private following the funeral.

Live-streaming of visitation & funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m.; an online guest book is available for condolences and special messages to the family.
