Doris McDermott Arwood, age 73 of Tecumseh, MI passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Saline Evangelical Home with friends and family at her bedside. She was born June 21, 1949 in Tecumseh, MI a daughter of the late James Clyde and Barbara Jean Baker McDermott. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1967 and completed the program at Adrian Cosmetology School. She enjoyed quilting and canning. She married Robert Arwood in 1977 and she was very special to him and his extended family. Doris is survived by brother, Richard; sisters, Mary McDermott, Susan McDermott and Nancy Monroe; children, Raymond, Carrie and Daniel Sisty; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bruce Arwood and a special niece, Shelia Arwood Addair both of Norton, VA. Lastly survived by many friends who loved her and will miss her, including her feline friends, Pumpkin Pie and Sammi. The family extends special thanks to devoted friends, Pam Purple and Jackie Hannah, for their love and support during Doris’ final battle against Crohn’s disease and cancer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Robert Arwood, brother, Mark and sister, Teresa LaRose. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI with Pastor Jodi Cartwright officiating on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11 am.
