Natalie Cherie Petit Obituary

Natalie Cherie Petit, 40, stepped into Heaven on July 8, 2022.

Services will be held on Friday, July 15th at 10:00am at First Baptist Church, 709 N Lee, with Rev.Dr. Byron McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guest for a visitation on Thursday, July 14th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Natalie was born on May 11, 1982, to Monte and Shelia Slusher. She attended Dowling Elementary, Bonham Junior High, and graduated from Permian High School in 2000. Natalie always had a determined spirit about her. Once her mind was made up, there was no stopping her. This was made apparent in her love for animals. Natalie fostered many dogs and puppies, helping them find forever homes. She loved only two things more, her precious daughters. Natalie loved being a mom. She always made sure that her girls had everything they needed. They were her greatest treasures. She also loved being an aunt. It was her next greatest title. Natalie loved her family. She thoroughly enjoyed it when her family was altogether in celebration or for just a relaxed dinner. We know that she will be greatly missed. We will miss her laugh, her smile, and her goofy sense of humor.

Natalie prayed to receive Christ on June 3, 2012. It is with this hope that we know we will see her again.

Natalie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Slusher, Lellon Lamar Lee and Margie Lee.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Madison Skye Hyman of Hudson, New Hampshire and Everlee Hope Petit of Gardendale, TX. Her mother and father, Monte and Shelia Slusher of Odessa, TX. Her sister, Heather Dunn and husband Rusty and their daughters, Bree and Avery of Odessa. Her sister, Stephanie Wilcox and her children Landon and Emma of Odessa. Her brother Ryan Slusher and wife Stephanie and their sons; Jayton, Aidan, Gavin, and Easton Slusher of San Angelo, TX. William Moody and wife, Lisa and their children Makala, Marley, and Lincoln of Gardendale, TX. Austin Petit of Langley, VA. Natalie also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly.

Pallbearers are Ryan Slusher, Aidan Slusher, Rusty Dunn, Joey Lee, William Moody, and Dean Pudney.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Khavar Dar, Dr. Roy Diaz, Odessa Fire & Rescue, and the ER and ICU staff at Medical Center Hospital.
