Terry "Pete" Lynn Tolbert Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Terry “Pete” Tolbert, 56, of Jacksonville, will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The service will also be livestreamed from the funeral home Facebook page. Rev. Daniel McGatha, Ronnie Murray, and Terry Tolbert will be officiating. Burial will follow the service in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-12 prior to the service. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, William Charlie Tolbert and Gloria Jean Pearson Tolbert; his grandson, Cadyn Lee Tolbert; one sister, Karen Tolbert; and one son, Jonathan Beal. Left to cherish the memory of Pete are his loving wife, Sandra Tolbert; five children, Ronnie Murray, Terry Allen (Amber) Tolbert, Naomi Faith Tolbert (David Alex) Moody, Nathan Lamar “Samson” (Heather) Tolbert, and Jaden Tolbert; his grandchildren, Jacob, Hailee, Landen, Jaxton, Maddison, Annabelle, Trent, Alibeth, William, Stormy, and Jeremiah; three siblings, Sharon Tolbert Westbrook “Little Big Sister”, Rodney Lamar Tolbert, and Lisa Ann Paris; numerous nieces and nephews; “bonus children”, Jamie and Michelle Lindsey; and a close brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Misty Bellerose. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Murray, Terry Tolbert, Nathan “Samson” Tolbert, Jaden Tolbert, Austin Parris, Jeff Martin, Roy Bellerose, and Brandon Willingham. Pete was a mentor, a power lineman legend, and a God-fearing man. He was a Journeyman lineman with over 40 years of experience, working daily to provide for his family, and teaching others while he worked. Pete was an esteemed member of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was known for his dedication to his job. After the passing of his father, Pete stepped up for his family, taking on the role his dad left behind and being a continued rock to his family. He was a soulmate to his wife of 37 years, an amazing teacher and confidant to all his children, a devoted brother to his siblings, and the greatest PawPaw his grandchildren could ask for. There are not enough words to express the kind of man Pete was. Never wavering in his love and support to his family, he will forever be remembered as the best husband, dad, PawPaw and brother that life could give. Pete enjoyed fishing, farming, and drinking, along with having family gatherings to include BBQ, steaks, and crawfish boils. Pete also enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, and talking about the Bible.
