Memorial services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant, SD. Pastor Colin Beveridge and Pastor Alan Blankenfeld will officiate. A Celebration of Shannon’s Life will follow at the church from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Shannon was born on December 29, 1983, in St. Louis, MO, to Dan and Deidre (Murphy) Ries. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in St. Louis in 2002, and received a degree in education from Arizona State University in December of 2005.</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">On August 30, 2008, Shannon married Brad Jacobson at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. She taught in Sioux Falls for 3 years, until relocating to Bryant, SD. She was teaching high school English for the last 7 years at Hamlin Education Center, as well as directing the high school plays.</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Shannon was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, running and working out.
