Carmen S. Cruz, 57, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at home around her loving family. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on July 16, 1964 she was the daughter of the late Santiago and Maria Cruz. She had attended High School in Puerto Rico and moved to Meriden, CT in 1982. Ms. Cruz was employed by Precision Plastic Product in Portland, CT. She was a Catholic and visit the Christian and Pentecostal Church with her sisters. Carmen was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her family.

Carmen is survived by her two daughters, Yalitza I. Mercado and her husband Jose, and Ana Castro, her two sons, Luis D. Castro and his wife Jayless Motañes and Luis A. Crus and his wife Jennifer: her grandchildren, Laecha M. Gonzalez, Samantha I. Gonzalez, Julie S. Cruz, Yalitza I. Castro, Daniela Castro, Lebron Weaver, Jason Weaver, RJ Coxson, Giana Coxson, and her great-grandchildren, Victor J. Garcia, Carmelo Agront, Romeo Santana. She is also survived by her sisters, Franshiska Cruz and her husband, William, Lucia Morales and her husband, Francisco and Silvia Cruz, her brothers, Mario Cruz, Angel Cruz, and Jose Cruz, and 6 nieces and 4 nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 11th from 5pm to 8pm at the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 12th from 9am to 10am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
