NICHOLAS R. NARDO, 86 of Weirton, WV passed away Friday July 8, 2022 at Weirton Medical Center. Nick was born in New Cumberland, WV on May 25, 1936 to Nick and Katie Zielinsky Nardo. Nick was a 1954 graduate of New Cumberland high school, where he served on various clubs and athletic teams including baseball, basketball, and most notably football. His early football career took him to the Ohio-West Virginia All-Star game, and eventually landed him at Butler University in Indianapolis. Nick was a 1959 graduate of Butler University, where he played fullback for the Butler Bulldogs and earned his degree in Chemistry. After graduation, Nick worked as a chemist for Mobay/Bayer Corporation where he dedicated 40 years. Nick met his beloved wife, Wadeanne Campbell while at New Cumberland high school. On June 7, 2022, the couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Nick and Wadeanne were blessed with three children, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. In his free time, Nick tended to his pristine yard, kept his mind and body active, grilled excellent hot dogs, bratwurst, and kielbasa, watched cowboy movies and his sports teams, read and prepared his Sunday school teachings, and spent time in his community with friends and family. Nick is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill. He is survived by wife, Wadeanne Campbell Nardo; daughter, Megen Smith (Rev.
