Jean Frances Miller Gwaltney , 82, of Spring Hope passed away on July 4, 2022. She was born on January 13, 1940 in Richmond Virginia, to the late Gerald and Frances Wade Miller. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Jim, brother Gerald Miller and sister Jackie Thornton.
A Private Graveside service will be held at Church of Our Savior in Montpelier, Va.
Jean is survived by her sons, J.F.”Buddy” Gwaltney,III (Jan) and Michael Gwaltney
She was an extraordinary grandmother to Haley Card, Harley Bland, Emma Gwaltney, Jake Gwaltney and Jamie Gwaltney. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
The Family requests memorial gifts to Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church, PO Box 770, Spring Hope, NC 27882 or Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60601.
