<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Obituary </span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">“I have fought the good fight, </span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">I have finished the course, </span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">I have kept the faith.” </span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><strong>MAYNARD LEE RUSSELL </strong>was born on November 8, 1947 and passed away at the age of 74 on July 4, 2022. He joins in death his mother, Catherine Mitchell of Mebane, North Carolina and his father, Crawlie Graves of Hillsboro, North Carolina. </span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">He leaves behind to cherish loving memories: two children, Mary Alston and Maynard Allison of Siler City, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, Candice Alston, Simone Alston, Angela Alston, Maynard Allison III, Quintina Allison, Bridget Allison, Derrick Headen, Damani Allison, Xzavier Allison, Deigo Siler; a host of great-grandchildren; a brother, John Mitchell of Mebane, North Carolina; friends, Willie, Emanuel, Marie, Vicky, Faye, Theresa, Marvin Jr., James, Lisa and Cookie; and a community filled with those who loved and adored him. </span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">His light will continue to shine through as in the words of Big Maynard, “They don’t got the last say, “God do.”</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <p>A Professional Service of Love and Dignity Being Provided By: Knotts and Son-Siler City</p> <p><strong>Everyone that Enters the Funeral Home and or Attending the Services - MUST WEAR A MASK AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING Thank you.</strong></p>November 8, 1947 - July 4, 202211/08/194707/04/2022

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Maynard a few years ago through a family member. He was such a gentle giant with a generous heart. Our prayers are with his family and his friends. Its no doubt that his presence will be missed by many.

Maynard was so kind and had a big heart. He was a good friend and will be missed. To the family so sorry for your loss. Maynard had such an easy way about him, he made things so simple. God Bless you my friend I will see you again.
