Michael Latham Obituary

Michael Wayne Latham, 67, departed this life on July 3, 2022 at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on October 11, 1954 in Knoxville, TN.


Michael was a graduate of Fulton High School. After graduating  from high school, he attended apprenticeship school to become a certified and licensed electrician. Michael was a member of the IBEW 760 Union until he retired. 
Michael enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. He loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a member at First Baptist Roseberry City church. 


He was preceded in death by: parents, Daniel and Lillian Latham; brothers, Danny and Stanley Latham; grandparents, Aaron and Laura Thomas; brother-in-law Melvin Porter Jr. 


He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Shanetia Latham; son, Mark Latham; grandchildren, Alia and Shawn; sisters, Brenda Ghosten (Reverend Dr. Walter L. Ghosten), Teresa Porter; brothers, Gregory Latham (Vicky Latham), Dwight Latham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends who loved him dearly. 
The family would like to express a special thanks to Sarah Jones and Dr. Stephen Myers and his staff at Thompson Cancer Survival Center.


Saturday, July 16, 2022, a memorial service will be held at noon at First Baptist Roseberry City Church, 217 Hiawassee Ave. Knoxville, TN. Rev. Cedric Jackson, officiating,Rev. Dr. Walter L.
