Elizabeth Louise Cooke, “Betsy” 77, of Draper, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at her residence. She was born on July 24, 1944, in Pulaski Virginia to Stewart and Gertrude Bowman. She is preceeded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Edwards. Mrs. Cooke is a graduate of New River Community College with 2 Associate Degrees. She worked 20 plus years with the Foundation at Ruritan International located in Newbern Virginia. She was a member of the Draper United Methodist Church. She loved her family and her many friends. Mrs. Cooke is survived by her loving and devoted Husband of 59 years, William Cooke, Daughters, Cynthia Saunders (Timothy) of Snowville, Tina Alley of Wytheville. Tammy Viet (David) of Draper and Rebecca Wightman of Williamsburg, Virginia. Grandchildren; Brandon Saunders, Ashley Alley, Shaunda Alley, David Justin Alley, Gavin Viet, Brenna Viet, Liam Viet and Kendal Wightman. Great Grandchildren; Anthony and Carter Saunders, Bret Harrison, Hope Nester, Abigail Dishon, Skylyn Viet and Kodie Viet. Sisters; Jenny Worrell of Pulaski, Hope Burton (Larry) of Newbern and Stella Melton of Dublin. Brothers; Tom Bowman (Linda) and Johnny Bowman (Chereyl) A host of nieces and nephews along with other extended family also will cherish the memories of Betsy. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Norris-Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski with Kelly Howlett officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
