Richard L. “Dickie” Collins, 79 MARION – Richard L. “Dickie” Collins, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in Marion, IN on February 18, 1943 to Richard R. Collins and Barbara Jane (Willis) Collins. His parents preceded him in death. Dickie graduated from Marion High School in 1961. He married Darlene S. Branstrator on May 28, 1976 at Union Chapel Church in Marion, IN. He retired from Chrysler in 1999, where he was a toolmaker. He enjoyed camping at Little Barbee Lake and hanging out with friends. He also liked to hunt and fish. Dickie will be sadly missed by his wife, Darlene S. Collins of Marion; children, Tamara L. (husband, Timothy J.) Porch of Mt. Sterling, KY and James P. (wife, Janice) Elliott of Mt. Sterling, KY; 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Judith (husband, Robert) Hodson of Rolland, OK. Funeral service will be 1 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Pastor Troy Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
