Della Jean Cardona

Della Jean Blankenship Cardona, age 71, of Tazewell, Virginia, passed away Sunday morning (July 3, 2022) at Heritage Hall of Tazewell. Born June 7, 1951 in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Gus and Creasy Street Blankenship. She enjoyed having her nails done and getting all dressed up and she attended several area churches.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant brother.
Survivors include her children, Keith Osborne and Michelle Osborne Tharp and her husband, Teddy all of Drill, Virginia; adopted daughter, Jessica Newcome of North Carolina; grandchildren, Contessa Tharp, Audrey Tharp Cook and husband, James, Justin Baldwin and wife, Tiff, Elizabeth “Tootie” Newcomb and Tristen “Bubby” Newcomb; four great-grandchildren, Carmin Tharp, Everly Cook, Levi Baldwin and Hudson Baldwin; several cousins and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday at the Street Cemetery at Rowe, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at Honaker Funeral Home by 10:30 AM to travel in the funeral procession.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
