Lois Annette Braun Roberts, 94, of Bonner Springs, KS, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2022.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5501 Monticello Road, Shawnee, KS 66226. Rosary begins at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM; burial in Bonner Springs cemetery.
Lois was born October 24, 1927, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of William Francis and Vincentia Margaret (McCarthy) Braun. She graduated from Edgerton Rural High School and attended St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, KS from 1945-1946. She was employed as a bank teller by Farmers Bank in Gardner, Kansas, and as a bookkeeper by Industrial Fumigant Company in Kansas City, Missouri. She married Edward A. Roberts Sr. on August 16, 1954. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she spent many hours volunteering at Sacred Heart Church and School. She enjoyed researching genealogy, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edward Arthur Roberts Sr., her son Rene Richard Roberts, her grandson Kerry Lee Roberts, her sisters Florence Marie Lewis and Mary Louise Hamby, and her brother Raymond Francis Braun.
Survivors include her children Edward Arthur Roberts Jr. (Barbara) of Lenexa, KS, Keith Lewis Roberts (Karen) of Leawood, KS, Sheryl Ann Chadwick (Chad) of Bonner Springs, KS, and Kathy Jo Stapp (Michael) of Shawnee, KS. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Robin Roberts, Kimberly LeValley (Keith), John Roberts (Melissa), Ryan Roberts (Jill), Lauren Copher (Clay), Krystal Bauer (Michael), Dane Roberts, Tyler Chadwick (Sarah), Brett Chadwick, Dylan White, Father Keith Chadwick, Kyle Chadwick, Ava Stapp, Sam Stapp and Joshua Stapp. She had 19 great-grandchildren: Jacob Burton, Mason Roberts, Chandler LeValley, Drew LeValley, Kaylan Roberts, Arden Pritchard, Regan LeValley, Logan Hartzell, Addison Hartzell, Macey Copher, Hayden Bauer, Liam Chadwick, Mila Roberts, Charley Copher, Elias Chadwick, Allise Roberts, Cayson Copher, Rory Chadwick, and Kent Chadwick.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
