Ruth Ann Boley, age 89, of Brookfield, MO, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at University Hospital, Columbia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022,  at Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Reverend Roger Briggs officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Ruth Ann, daughter of Mark and Leela (Gnagy) Yocom, was born on February 5, 1933, in Sherman County, Kansas. On November 29, 1951, Ruth was united in marriage to Charles Edward Boley. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1999.

Ruth was a 1951 graduate of Marceline High School. She worked at Whitaker Cable for several years and then spent many years working at Walsworth Publishing Company in the layout department and did cottage work. Ruth was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She became very interested in her ancestry in the last few years and enjoyed going through old photographs and documents, piecing together her family history. Ruth most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Leanna Leake (Gayle), Brookfield; Clifford Boley (Jean), Charles City, IA; and Rachel Boley, Chillicothe; one daughter in law, Anna Boley, Louisiana, MO; eight grandchildren, Kari Stockwell, Columbia; Natalie Reed (Craig), Green Ridge; Julie Hoerrmann (Jeremy), Brookfield; Mark Stockwell (Dena), Blue Springs; James Boley (Kim), Cape Girardeau; Jessica Brink (Jeff), Nanuet, NY; Matthew Boley (Candice), Jefferson City; Adam Boley (Erin), Troy; Coleman Boley (Brooke), Marion, IA; Crystal Boley, North Liberty, IA; twenty two great-grandchildren: Leah and Henry Dowell; Macy, Mallory, and Maggie Reed; Jenna, Porter, Sawyer, Tucker, and Hettie Hoerrmann; Haley Jones, Ella and Camren Ramirez; Abigail and Elizabeth Boley; Madelyn and Lucas Brink; Alexandria Boley; Abigayle and Jeremiah Boley; Maura and Lainey Boley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Clayton Boley, one daughter, Sarah Boley, one granddaughter, Amy Heiter as well as four brothers and four sisters.
