Steven L. Kirschling Brookfield, Wisconsin Obituary

Steven L. Kirschling

Steven L Kirschling "Steve" Steve passed away at his home, with his daughter Julie by his side on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born on June 15, 1952 to the late Louis and Patricia (McNair) Kirschling. Steve was a welder until he had to retire early when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Steve battled MS for over 30 years. Steve was able to live in his own apartment until his passing thanks to the loving care provided by Quality Living Services (QLS) over the last 10 years. Steve's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers from QLS who lovingly cared for Steve like one of their own family members. A special thank you to Sue and David from QLS for all their support and care. David, who jokingly could do no wrong in the eyes of Steve, would bring him strawberry ice cream, Cousins steak subs and A&W root beer to enjoy. David showed an unwavering dedication to Steve and was out of town when Steve began to decline and when he arrived back into town, his first stop was to see Steve. Sue also cared for Steve with unconditional love, even when he was being "stubborn." Julie would like to extend a very heartfelt and sincere thank you to Sue for being there at the end providing comfort with tears and laughter. Steve is survived by his daughter Julie Alvarez (Kirschling) and son Lon Kirschling. He is further survived by brothers David Kirschling (Patty) and Mark Kirschling (the late Linda) and his grandchildren Brandon, Tanner, Sasha, and Charlotte. He is also survived by his nieces Kim, Kelly and Jamie. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all the caregivers at QLS. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM with a Service to follow at 4:00 PM, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd. (corner of Hwy J & JJ, 4 blocks south of Interstate 94) Waukesha, WI.
