Karl Robert Blaedow, age 52, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born March 30, 1970 in Waukesha to parents Kenneth and Sandra (nee Beck). Karl was a 1988 graduate of Brookfield Central. Karl was united in marriage on July 8, 1995 to Robyn Siegel. He proudly served the City of Brookfield Fire Department for 32 years and was honored to earn a FireFighter of the Year award . Karl was a devoted husband, father, and family man. His favorite activity was traveling to Disney World with Robyn and Tyler and sharing their wealth of Disney knowledge with family, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Golf was his favorite pastime, whether watching, practicing, playing or planning US Open and PGA trips, he was so happy to share the experience with Tyler, family and friends. Robyn shared in the experience by being an avid supporter of all aspects of the sport! Karl loved spending time with family and friends at fish fry’s, Brewer, Bucks and Packer games. He and his extended family also took many trips to Fort Myers Beach and Roberts Lake. Karl was a spiritual man who loved God and his entire family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Karl is survived by his beloved wife Robyn and son Tyler; sisters, Karen Blaedow, Kim (Tim Donley) Blaedow; brothers, Ken (Sue) Blaedow, Kasey (Anne) Blaedow; sister-in-law, Dawn (Kevin) Brannon; nieces and nephews, Kelly (Lloyd) Liebert, Katy (Kyle) Stuppan, Sara Mierow; Benjamin (Kirsten), Kristin Blaedow; Jack, Kyle and Bec Blaedow; Craig (Alicyn) Bartsch and Jason Bartsch; also survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Sandra; parents-in-law, Douglas and Gayle Siegel; sister-in-law, Karen Siegel; brother-in-law, Dan Luedtke. Funeral Services will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 6840 N. 107th St., Milwaukee on Tuesday, July 5 at 7:00 PM with visitation for family and friends from 4:00 PM until time of service. Private committal at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Salem Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Froedtert Cancer Center and Brighton Hospice for their loving care and support. Also a huge shout out to the management, staff, and brothers and sisters of the Brookfield Fire Department for their incredible devotion to Karl over his entire career. Their support lifted our spirits and was crucial during this time. They truly are our extended family!
