Alfonso Morales, age 93, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, after battling with Dementia. Alfonso Morales was born on July 9, 1928, to Gregorio Morales and Lencha Cadillacs in Santa Eulalia, Mexico. After coming to the United States, he joined the Brazero Program and worked in Agriculture. He later worked in a restaurant, but later practiced his trade as a Butcher. He attended classes at a Community College to learn English and became a U.S. citizen. In 1957, Alfonso married Manuela Peña, and both went on to have four children, Richard, Patsy, Brenda and Michael. His first wife passed away and Alfonso later remarried Socorro Barrera in 1976. They also had a daughter, Jacqueline.
After retiring, Alfonso's favorite past time activities were singing, playing pool, watching movies, and traveling. He also enjoyed watching sports like boxing, tennis, the Olympics and swimming. Alfonso is survived by his wife, Socorro Morales, his children, Richard, Patsy, Brenda, Michael, and Jacqueline. He is also survived by grandchildren: Francesca, Tina, Waylan, Nico, Bonnie, Analisa, Adrie, Nellie, Josh, Gabi, Giannah, Ethan and Elianna; and his great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Angelo, Joseph, Sari, Lily, Sebastian, A.J., Rafael, Monroe, Carmine, and Zara.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., FRENCH - Westside with a Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests flowers to be sent to the funeral home.
