James Raymond Anderson Jr.

<p>Jimmy passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was born April 8, 1938, in Oklahoma City, OK to Jim Anderson and Geneva Gateley. Jimmy worked for Pan American Airlines, was a bar owner in Oklahoma City prior to becoming a business owner and longtime Albuquerque resident. He had a life well lived, traveling the world, playing golf, and enjoying all life had to offer. He was always available for a good time and a good laugh. Jimmy will be missed by many as he was a presence at most UNM sports practices and games. He coached numerous youth sports teams over the years. He was an avid golfer. Wanting to share his love of golf with the youth of Albuquerque and get future generations playing, Jimmy started Junior Golf in NM many years ago.<br /> Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, and his parents. He is survived by his son, Chris Anderson (wife Terese); and granddaughter, Geneva Anderson; and daughter, Shannon Mick, and granddaughter, Katlin Erdman (husband Craig), and two great-grandsons, Jacob Daniel, and Benjamin James.<br /> Jimmy has been cremated as per his wishes and will be spread with his parents. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to UNM sports.&nbsp;</p>
