Rosemary McGuire, 77, of Somerville, died on June 28, 2022. Born and raised in Yonkers, NY to the late James and Julia McGuire (nee Higgins), she was a graduate of Yonkers High School. Rosemary went on to work for Union Pen & Pencil Co. while living in Yonkers and enjoyed spending weekends with her parents at their lake house. She enjoyed traveling with friends, especially her trip to Europe and taking cruises, some of which she was still in touch with to this day. Rosemary enjoyed downtime at home and collected VHS tapes and CD’s. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, James and her brother in law, David. Surviving are her loving sister Joan Chopay, her nephews and niece, James and wife Kathy, Michael, Dave, Kristy Ann and wife Chris, John and wife Leslie, and Patrick and wife Marci, and many great nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00PM at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00AM on Friday, July 1, 2022 at St. Joseph R.C. Church 16 E Somerset St, Raritan. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 8:00AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Yonkers, New York. Memorial contributions may be made in Rosemary’s memory to St. Joseph R.C. Church 16 E Somerset St, Raritan.
