Delores Purdue, 59, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:18 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at her residence.

Born April 26, 1963, in Madison, she was the daughter of the late William and Dora Mack.

Delores was a homemaker and housewife who loved dogs and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving with her companion, Dennis Purdue of North Vernon, are her children, Pam Mitchell of North Vernon, Elbert Mitchell of Pekin, and Leigh-Ann Mitchell of North Vernon; sisters, Vickie (Carl) Smith and Belinda (Keith) Ashton, both of Madison, and Tina Mack of Taylorsville; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A closing prayer will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Rev. Skip Napier officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.  

Memorials may be made in honor of Delores through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
