Ronald Eugene Hampton, 56, of Seymour, IN, passed away at 1:57 PM on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his cousin’s home in Scottsburg, IN. 

Ron was born on Monday, January 3, 1966, in Greenfield, IN to Cecil and Geraldine (Hampton) Hampton.

Ron was a 1984 Scottsburg High School Graduate. After high school he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. This was one of the best decisions he ever made. He loved serving in the Navy.

Ron worked at Medtronics Inc. in Warsaw, IN as a part distributor from May 2012 until June 2020. He was a member of the Scottsburg American Legion. In his free time, he loved to build model planes, fish, attend tractor pulls, and watch NASCAR. He loved to make people smile, that was always his goal for the day. He would think of his favorite comedians, Jerry Seinfield, Larry the Cable Guy, and Jeff Foxworthy when he tried to make people laugh or tell a joke. He was a loving, charismatic joker who will be dearly missed. 

He is survived by his children, Michael Hampton of Scottsburg, IN, Heather Goodpaster of Seymour, IN, and Trevor Hampton of Austin, IN, 4 grandchildren, 4 siblings, Terry Hampton of Seymour, IN, Juanita (Lonnie) Richie of Austin, IN, Linda (Hobart) DeHart of Austin, IN, and Sue (Bill) Scholl of Memphis, IN. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Geraldine Hampton, 2 brothers, Roger Dale Hampton and Earnest Lee Hampton. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Scottsburg, IN, with burial to follow at Scottsburg Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday June 20, 2022, and on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, all at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Scottsburg, IN.
