Beth Anne (Cox) Thompson Church, 71, a lifelong resident of Scottsburg, IN, passed away peacefully at 7:33 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

Beth was born on Saturday, January 20, 1951, in Scottsburg, IN to Paul Cletis Cox and Margaret Elizabeth (Paden) Cox.

Beth attended Indiana Academy in Cicero, IN for three years, graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1969, and attended Ivy Tech.

She retired from Scott Memorial Hospital where she worked in the registration department and held numerous other various positions for over 25 years. 

On January 20, 2021, Beth married Dave Church at the Scottsburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Beth was a lifelong member of the Scottsburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she was instrumental in starting the Memory Tree project. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling, riding horses, painting, mowing, gardening, and spending countless hours with all her family. Beth was known as loveable, kind, selfless, comforting, compassionate, overprotective, and always had an infectious smile that would light up a room. She was an extraordinary woman who lived life her way.

Survivors include her husband, Dave Church of Scottsburg, IN, 5 daughters, Lisa (Larry) Lee of Odenville, AL, Carrie (Billy) Daniels, Leslie Thompson Carter, Amy (Jerry) Youngblood, and Jenna (Brandon) Shields, all of Scottsburg, IN, 2 step-children, Sara Church (Doug) Callahan of Naples, FL and Andy (Pielin) Church of Dallas, TX, 12 grandchildren, Chris (Tatelyn) Cline, Bryan (Kacy) Smallwood, Ashleigh (Brandon) Arrowood, Dalton Daniels, Ryan (Tori) Heil, Hannah (Zack Adams) Heil, Kaitlyn (Randy) Richey, Kameron (Kaylin Carter) Hollan, Keyton Hollan, Brookelyn Youngblood, Raelyn Shields, and Camdyn Shields, 3 step-grandchildren, Saralyn, Rachel, and Tyler, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild on the way, and 1 sister, Peggy Cox of California.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Cox.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28th, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Scottsburg, IN with burial to follow at Scottsburg Cemetery. 

Family and friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, May 27th, 2022, and after Noon on Saturday, both at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Scottsburg, IN.

Memorial donations can be given to Scott County Kiwanis Scholarship Fund or to the Scottsburg Seventh-day Adventist Church Memory Tree c/o Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 138 Westavia Blvd., Scottsburg, IN 47170.
