<p>Evelyn Leona Davis, age 80, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Northland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kansas City, Missouri.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Park Baptist Church, Brookfield with Pastor David Blakely officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church</p> <p>Evelyn Leona, daughter of Lawrence and Wilhelmina (Passig) Payne, was born March 15, 1942, in Brookfield, Missouri. &nbsp;Evelyn was united in marriage in 1959 to William C. Davis, of this union, two daughters, Sherry and Susan were born. &nbsp;</p> <p>Evelyn worked as an order selector for Hallmark Cards for over 25 years. She was a member of the Park Baptist Church. Evelyn was always an optimist; she encouraged and supported those she loved unconditionally Her beautiful smile and kind ways were one of the most memorable things about her. She was a great cook and loved to cook for her family and friends. In her spare time, one of Evelyn&rsquo;s favorite things was to travel, especially trips to Council Bluffs, IA to go to her favorite casino, the Horseshoe. Her family was everything to her; she loved&nbsp;them very much and was very much loved by them.</p> <p>Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Davis Shively (Jeff) of Liberty, MO, and Susan Davis of Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Tyler&nbsp;Davis, Ryan Shively, and Will Davis; two brothers, Larry Payne (Cathy) Lathrop, MO, and Roger Payne (Cindy) Kearney, MO; two sister-in-laws, Gretchen and Sandy Payne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ed Payne, Reverend Bernie Payne, and Orville Payne; sister-in-law Kathleen Payne and her son-in-law, Graham Davis.</p>
