ROBERT LOCKWOOD
Robert E. Lockwood, 66, passed away in his home on June 20, 2022. He was born in 1955 in Santa Fe New Mexico to Bob and Josephine Lockwood, was educated in Santa Fe and followed with degrees from Kansai University in Osaka, Japan and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1980. Robert began his construction career in the 1970’s at Lockwood Construction Company formed by his father, Bob Lockwood, a company now continuing to operate in New Mexico for over 74 years. Working with other regional and national construction firms, Robert served as a field Superintendent and Construction Manager. Between 1985 and 1992, Robert operated a business consulting firm in Taiwan, China and served as a New Mexico Honorary Trade Representative to the Pacific Rim. In 1992, Robert returned to Lockwood Construction Company and became President of the firm in 2003. Robert was preceded in death by his dear wife of 35 years, Jenny, and by his parents.
