Loy Lee Rice

Loy Lee Rice, age 85, of Oak Forest, Illinois passed away June 26, 2022. Loy was born January 8th, 1937. Loy was a former Carrier Mills resident, son of the late Carl and Violet (Bailey) Rice. He attended Carrier Mills schools and was a Carrier Mills graduate. Loy L. was married to the former Eileen (Domagal) and celebrated 43 years of marriage at his passing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Regan (Donna) Rice, Tim (Cheryl) Rice, Kimra (Mike) Marshall, Katrina (Matt) Arturi. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren, daughter in law Sharon Rice, and his best buddy Snowy. He was the uncle of Rick (Cheri) and Tina (Brian); and local cousins: Billy Murphy, Dennis (Nancy) Rice, and Steve (Diana) Rice. Loy Lee was preceded in death by his parents, son, Greg Rice and a sister and brother in law Patsy and James Gleyre. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lawn Funeral Home, 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park, IL 60462. Graveside service will precede burial at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Salem Cemetery. Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home assisted with local arrangements.
