Shelly Naomi Hale Pickett of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday morning, September 6, 2017, at the age of 85.
She was a lifetime member of Belmont Primitive Baptist Church in Victoria, Tennessee. She was a loving wife and mother to her children and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always loved to see them to give them her chewing gum.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred John Henry Hale and Johnnie Mae Hale; sons, Freddie O. Pickett and Eddie R. Pickett; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Patrick and Sara Lee Pickett; brothers, Dennis Hale and Fred “Bud” Hale.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 64 years, William A. Pickett; sons, William (Angel) Pickett, Jr. of Chattanooga, Billy Pickett and Vincent (Stacey) Pickett; daughters, Sharon E. (Ulysses) Springs and Donna Pickett all of Jasper, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren, Shamar Hester, Celeste Davis, LaVonda Pickett Glenn, LaShonda Pickett, Rodney Springs, Artelia Green, Bradley Pickett, Amanda Hutchins, Erica Phelps, Adam Springs, Billy Hurd, Megan Hutchins, Cody Pickett, and Brittany Pickett; twenty-one great-grandchildren, Kevin, Alayah, Austin, Mikaela, Donovan, Brayden, Makynlee, Layla, Aiden, Ava, Makyi, Shanterria, Frank, Morgan, Samaria, Elias, Isreal, Malia, Aubrey, Erick, and Riley; three great-great-grandchildren, Carter, Kaniya, and Kamari; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee, at 1:00 pm Central time on Saturday, September 9, 2017, with visitation for from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will be in Anderson Cemetery in Jasper.
