<p>&nbsp; Edgar F. Miles, 90, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his home in Checotah, Oklahoma.&nbsp; He was born on January 30, 1932 in Pennsylvania where he grew up and graduated from high school in Lancaster County.&nbsp; Edgar and Madeline Moody married on July 15, 1977 in Maryland.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Edgar worked as a truck driver and for nine years worked at Walmart as a security guard.&nbsp; He was a member of Westside Freewill&nbsp; Baptist Church in Checotah.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madeline Miles; step-sons, Henry Kerns and Jerry Kerns; step-daughter, Nancy Autry and grandson, Dallas Kerns.&nbsp; Edgar is survived by his sons, John Kerns and wife Kay of Checotah, Tommy Kerns and wife Sharon of Sinking Springs, PA; daughter-in-law, Lanita Kerns Firestone and husband Thomas of Sperry, OK and sons, Edgar Allen Miles and David Scott Miles of Pennsylvania.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hunn Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Service.&nbsp; Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah with Pastor Raymond Coats officiating.</p>

We will miss Bro Ed very much at Westside Free will Baptist Church. He was a very nice person, I am so glad I had the opportunity to know Ed. I always made it a point to say a few words to him., Blessings to John and Kay and the rest of his family.
