<div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9"><iframe class="embed-responsive-item" src="https://portal.memoryshare.com/memoryshare/videoplayer/bettyjeangodbey-worthington-8101119" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen> </iframe></div> <p>Betty Jean Godbey Worthington, age 86, of Dallas, Georgia, formerly of Lincoln County, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Marietta, Georgia. &nbsp;Born Saturday, September 7, 1935, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William Alexander &amp; Beulah M. Williams Soard. &nbsp;Betty was a Walmart greeter in Danville, Kentucky, for 16 years. &nbsp;Betty was a member of Mount Olive Christian Church in Yosemite, Kentucky. &nbsp;Betty loved spending time with her family and her Walmart family. &nbsp;Betty loved singing and bowling, and previously bowled for various Boy &amp; Girl clubs. &nbsp;</p> <p>Betty leaves behind one daughter, Sharon Lee Godbey Dunning of Dallas, Georgia; four grandchildren, Erin Hans (Jamie) of Muncie, Pennsylvania, Michelle Fletcher of Pensacola, Florida, Jennifer Trusty (Jeremy) of North Judson, Indiana, and Paula Naputi (Kenny) of Dallas; ten great-grandchildren, Abby, Ana, Gabriel, Zechariah, Joshua, Cassie, Elizabeth, Elijah, Olivia, and Konnor; one sister, Joann Lister; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. &nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Elliott Godbey and Irvin Lee Worthington, Sr.; son-in-law, Michael Lee Dunning; four brothers, Joe, Kenny, Stanley, and Jasper; and four&nbsp;sisters, Carol, Mary,&nbsp;Lou Lou Mae, and Anne.&nbsp;</p> <p>A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Mount Olive Christian Church. &nbsp;</p> <p>A Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, at the church. &nbsp;Bro. Greg Powell will officiate the service. &nbsp;The Funeral Service will be recorded and uploaded, at a later date, on Betty&rsquo;s memorial page at www.friendfuneralhomes.com. &nbsp;</p> <p>Following the Funeral Service, Betty will be laid to rest in Middleburg Cemetery, by her first husband, Paul Elliott Godbey.</p> <p>Barnett, Demrow &amp; Friend Funeral Home, Waynesburg, Kentucky, is entrusted with Betty&rsquo;s arrangements. &nbsp;Guest Book at www.friendfuneralhomes.com.</p>

Betty was such a sweet person and I enjoyed working with her. I have the ribbons she made for different holidays to everyone. She will be missed.

I first meet Betty at Four Seasons in Ohio where we worked together. She was truly someone to know. We remained friends all these years. Rest In Peace Betty you deserved it. I am thankful I meet you all those years ago.
